LAB TESTING

We offer a wide range of diagnostic tests, including the standard ones you might receive from your medical doctor. Some of the tests we offer include:

Conventional Blood Tests
Common blood testing may include iron, cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid, B12, liver enzymes etc.

Hair Analysis
Human hair can provide us with a good way of looking for levels of essential nutrients as well as high levels of toxins such as arsenic, aluminum, lead and mercury.  Conditions such as anxiety, depression, memory impairment and fatigue can be related to toxic elements.

Food Allergy Testing
Anaphylactic food reactions are not the only type of food allergy.  Through testing the blood, we have the ability to detect low-grade food sensitivities and intolerances which may be causing a number of health complaints such as bloating, ADHD, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, weight gain and rheumatoid arthritis.

Saliva Hormone Testing
These tests allow us to map out hormonal fluctuations and detect any possible imbalances.  These tests include: male panel, female panel, cortisol and a month-long hormonal assessment.  Some conditions associated with hormonal disturbances include weight gain, sleep disturbances, depression, hot flashes, bone loss, breast cancer , benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and erectile dysfunction.

It is recommended that all patients bring in copies of their latest blood work if possible.  Although not currently covered by OHIP, any additional testing that is required can be requisitioned by Puremedica through a Lifelabs location nearest you.
